On Friday April 23th 2010, Natasha McShane and Stacy Jurich were brutally assaulted in Bucktown. The two girls were returning from a night after celebrating two good news: getting a job for Stacy and an internship for Natasha. Being of Irish descent, Natasha follows an exchange program and is studying urban planning at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
It was therefore all the Irish community who was moved by this tragedy. Today Natasha awoke from her coma, but has not recovered mental capacity it had before. She can do few things and can only say few words. Her family regularly organizes a fundraiser to help fund his care.
